Hi all well dont know where to start but a long time ago I think could be 4 years ago in galaxy far far away from here AAAA started and one of our first projects was to build a map database.......ehhh well I couldnt (((
Their are a few great websites out their with some form or another of maps and mods but the reason this project was started was you try and find a map you and dont have..............
So where we at.........
Joto from Scapp has one on his list of projects : info here http://www.mohaaaa.co.uk/AAAAMOHAA/node/10 this will be amazing and more what we are after but already try'd the pressure but could not get an answer ))) only joking Joto but felt from some feed back that others felt the same........
I am not Web Developer so kind of hard for me to take on a project like this as if I cant do it end of...........
So did a few days proof of concept to see if I could quickly over the past few days get something we could use that was different and cleaner........
Well when I last try'd this we were on nuke we are now on Drupal so had a go.....
Its now on the main menu http://www.mohaaaa.co.uk/AAAAMOHAA/content/aaaa-mohaa-map-database-0 - Its all still work in progress but think we can use this.........
So please have a play and feed back
The bottom line this will only work if we all support it!! if every member spent 10 mins to submit 2 maps we would be off to great start.......
You have to put in to take out...........
Feed back welcomed but if I am to spend more time on this I need to know its going to be used
Well We are back - I lost some of the post's from this thread sorry (((
Well Back to where we were - Manually added all the features again to the Map database ((
Have fixed the file upload can now handle 64MB - I can think of a couple of maps that are massive!! Like the Break Through MOHAA map pack think that is about 500MB so we will use the the direct link feature to host massive files.
I will set up a Public AAAA FTP for large file uploads and out some info on the input form about it.
I have just tested the database now adding a new map and all worked ok.
