Hi all seen some of the issues on dedi2 last few days - I did not get much chance before I left to dig around but i did notice at the time that the match servers were both using th bulk of cpu but yet were not in use so was a strange one. Hence left them down - when i checked late last nigh they were still and all looked ok so kinda of missed the problem.
No extra servers have been added to this server and only basic maintenance was carried out prior such as backups and microsoft updates.......
On checking the server this morning all looked fine and the match servers wereboth still down - I did reboot this morning as there were some updates.
I would recommend all clans install Joto Gsprotector - available on his site.
What I need to do is soon as we get another lag issue is to try and catch what is causing it not going to be easy while im away but hopefully Dave or Victor will be about...........
It could be a case that the existing clans on that dedi have grown and they are now using all their slots at peak times and I have got the balance wrong on the dedi.
If above is thecase then I need to resolve this ASAP which may result in moving a server or two or we are now ready for dedi4.
Its important that as a community we maintain the service we all desire - no point runningcheap servers if they are crap...........
At this point we dont know without getting more info from the logs I am hoping thishasjust been a looping process but for now please dont use match server3 and 4 until we find out what is causingthe lag.
The Virus scan runs once a week on a Sunday at 02:00 and has passed all clean
I think if any clan gets lag so not just one player but a few shout it on the shout box - give server ip and port and will help us trace any issues .
