hi all ...
just a headsup, my avg picked up UAC3 as a virus yesterday .
resident shield sees it as win32.heur ,after a quick look on the avg forums
it seems after the last update, a lot of people were getting this .
not only for uac3 but for bought games and utilities alike.
AVg have promised a solution soon ...but in the meantime if you need to use it ,
open avg ,look for resident shield componant and choose tools advanced options
then exclusions and add the file path to UAC3 .
if avg has already moved the exe to the virus vault you can then restore the exe from the vault
and when you run the uac for the first time, if avg pops up a warning, click allow.

UAC3 detected as virus by AVG
Thanks Dave for the heads up
Hi guys
Yep this problem, I also have two. I've tried solving it the same way as Ubersoldier writes about, but .. succeed deværre not have taken some screenshot of the error messages I get
Ok Well I am on XP and AVG no issue - but yep had this before - so give us more info as in what Operating system your on XP or Vista or Windows 7......
Things to try - Unistall AVG and download the latest 2012 free version so its not trying to update to it - download the latest full version
Hope that helps but keep us posted because we have seen this before........
Yeah I've got my UAC to work again.
I uninstalled AVG and install NOD32 instead:-D
Ok Great but let the other players know what OS you were running when you got problems with AVG are you on XP / VISTA / WINDOWS 7 - Most of use AVG but it helps us fix other problems if we know what you were running - If you were on XP then a load of us still on XP with latest version of AVG and all ok - BUT UAC3 updated a few months back hence this post and all of us had problems but none since.
