Hi all I would like to look into AAAA costings for servers and TS3 and alike.........
The reason for this is AAAA dedicated 1 server is now near capacity and we are looking to expand to a second dedicated server which will help improve all aspects of AAAA perfornace for clans - remember we are run by the clans for the clans.......
But it seems clear to me that my pricing model is not cost effective as Dedicated server 1 is still running at a loss yet full on capacity so I need to adjust this so AAAA can expand and still provide high performance servers at cost price....
To date we are still in the red minus £75 from last year and now the budget is holding us back from getting our second server..........
So I would like to revise costings - For clans who have just moved to us under current costings I would not change for a few months to be fair :idea:
What I need to do now is to get the right balance on running a server at cost price and I also need to stop giving services for free as I am a bit to generous 
AAAA will continue to offer test / dev servers that are closed to public - we will allow oneoff test nights to stress test a dev / test server but prolonged activity effects us all and prevents expansion............
So as a guide line and feel free to input better deals!!!
Gaming deluxe charge the following for a Virtual shared server for MOHAA -:
20 Slots: £10.80
AAAA charges £5
What is clear to me now is that at that price for AAAA we can not cost expansion as our current dedi is still running at a loss
Our Dedi server costs in at £50 so we need to cost it at price and be able to expand - under our current model we can not so I propose the following changes
20 slot server + 20 slot TS3 server £7.50 - if you took out multiple servers we would discount as you would still only require 1 TS3 - we aim to deliver server at cost price if you can feed back on this suggestion but this is to help us to expand and add more clans.........
All I can say is our is to offer a cost price to a clan to run a high performance server - if us all can not achieve this then their is no point in AAAA hosting.,
So I am trying to get rice where the clans run the clans at cost price.......as you can se I cant expand under the current model so do the clans want to run your selves or help AAAA expand where we run ourselves..............
I cant keep running at a loss but at the same time their is a medium do you lot want to have control and expand AAAA or would you sooner pay the extra and go else where - we are here to promote and keep the game we love running - already many of you donate and if it you had not we would not be here todsy...........
We could pull out of hosting and just support the game as we do but as a clan myself its hard to pay when your own clan dont chip in so we are trying to run a cheap cost effective service that clans will use..........
We can only do this if we build a service together that is cost effective and fair so your input to this is paramount :idea:
