Hi all as those are aware we been getting lag and a lot lately basically AAAA is getting abused nt so much a virus but it is in a way - the attacker dont give a shit about us or what we are doing they are just trying to use our hardware so instead of some form of lag or denial of service attack they actual want to use our hardware - in the recent attacks it has been to run bit coin mining - Its been hard for me to trace the attack as the bit mining code does not flag as a virus or attack and so on which is correct because it is not but I am seeing third party code being used to get the legit mining code running
Found most of it and blocked and removed but been working on this all week as not had this attack type before - You as users see lag as the bit mining code robs all the CPU's if they were good at this then they would not be so greedy and just use 10 - 20 % then I may have not noticed but this attack just grabs the lot so we all get lag and shit and now I try to fix...........
I have now I hope blocked most of their shite so sorry for the lag and outages but I am working on it !!!
Just checked and seems I have blocked those attacks - interestingly Microsoft are releasing security patches for Windows 2008 like no end so may be related . Theirs another couple for me to install but will have to hold back on them as they update .net which SCAPP uses
